Ojakhuri is meat and potatoes, a simple Georgian dish for the whole family ("ojakhuri" in Georgian means "family").
Ingredients:
-Pork (neck) - 500 g
-Potatoes - 500 g
-Onion - 2 pcs (medium size.)
-Vegetable oil - 90 g
-Salt - to taste
- Seasoning for potatoes from "Gamarjoba Genatsvale" 1 tsp.
-Pork barbecue seasoning from "Gamarjoba Genatsvale" 1 tsp.
-Fresh greens (dill, basil, cilantro) - to taste
Preparation:
1. Cut the meat into small pieces.
Pour vegetable oil into the pan (about half of the specified amount), heat it up, add the pork kebab seasoning and put the chopped meat in the heated oil with spices.
2. Stir, add salt to taste and fry the meat until golden brown.
3. Peel the onion and cut into thin half rings. We send it to the pork pan. We mix. The onions should be fried until golden brown.
4. Clean the potatoes and cut into wedges. Simultaneously with the meat in another pan, fry the potatoes in the remaining vegetable oil. Season with a little salt and potato seasoning.
5. Add the fried potatoes to the pan with the pork and onions and fry together for another 5 minutes.
6. Put the finished Ojakhuri on a plate, sprinkle with chopped herbs.
